This policy explains how Zhiyue (the “platform”) collects, uses, stores and protects your information. By using the platform you confirm that you have read and agree to this policy.
1. What we collect
- Account information: username, email address, mobile number (optional), and a hashed password;
- Usage records: search topics and queries, task type and submission time, the inputs and outputs of review/translation tasks, and credit consumption and activation-code redemptions;
- Log data: access time, IP address, browser type, action type and result, used for security auditing and troubleshooting;
- Content you submit: text you paste or upload when using features such as text conversion or polishing.
2. How we use it
- To provide the core features: literature search, review drafting, text conversion and credit management;
- To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse (for example, detecting abnormal requests) and retain logs as required by law;
- To improve the platform and service quality, using aggregated and de-identified statistics.
3. Sharing and transfer
- Large-model service: when generating a review or converting text, we sendthe retrieved bibliographic metadata and abstracts, or the text you submittedto the model provider (DeepSeek API) in order to produce the result. The transferred content does not include your account identity.
- Literature sources: bibliographic metadata is retrieved through public or institutionally licensed interfaces such as PubMed, Scopus and OpenAlex.
- Cloud service: the platform runs on Alibaba Cloud servers located in mainland China.
- Wedo not sellyour personal information and do not provide it to unrelated third parties, except where required by law.
4. What we do not collect
The platform does not collect patient personal information.Do not upload records or raw data that can identify a patient — for example names, admission numbers or images. The uploader is responsible for the consequences of any such upload.
5. Storage and security
- Data is stored on servers within the People's Republic of China;
- Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text;
- Access logs are retained for at least 6 months as required by law;
- Access controls and transport encryption (HTTPS) are used to protect your data.
6. Your rights
- To access and correct your account information;
- To request deletion of your account and related usage records, except those we must retain by law;
- To close your account or withdraw consent — contact us at the address below and we will act within a reasonable period.
7. Minors
The platform is intended for researchers and graduate students and does not provide services to children under 14.
8. Policy updates
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and mark the effective date, and will notify you in-app where appropriate.
